Planning Team of the Year Lancashire 2024
S&L has been crowned Planning Team of the Year at NW Business Insider’s inaugural Lancashire Property Awards
Held at Winter Gardens’ cutting-edge conference and exhibition centre, the team faced stiff competition.
Attended by over 300 industry professionals, the S&L team scooped the award with judges acknowledging the firm’s significant scale and quality of work, given its size. It was also praised for its focus on adding value to complex and challenging projects.
Based in Preston on Winckley Square, S&L acts for various clients, including Maple Grove Developments, Edge Hill University, Lovell Homes, and Keepmoat Homes.
The firm has recently acted as planning advisers on the £50 million Pioneer Place in Burnley, Edge Hill University’s £27 million Catalyst Building and Lydiate Learning Trust’s new operational net zero carbon High School.
S&L co-founder Deborah Smith said: “We’re really pleased to have won this award, but in some respects, we were a little shocked as we were up against well-respected competition.
The award is a testament to the hard work of our team, which delivers high-quality advice and is committed to our focus of putting people at the centre of everything we do.
Winning the award provides us with a benchmark for the future and ensures we are motivated to continue what we do.”
