Plans for a city centre apartment scheme in Preston have been approved. Smith & Love worked on behalf of Pillars Construction Ltd on the application for a 28 unit residential development on Grimshaw Street. Pillars Construction Ltd intends to develop a four-storey apartment block, offering 1 studio apartment, 6 one-bedroom apartments and 21 two-bedroom apartments, with landscaping and amenity space to the rear.

The site is located in the Horrocks Quarter, which sits on the edge of the town centre; and forms part of the Stoneygate Masterplan which was launched earlier this month. The vision for Stoneygate is to create a distinctive, characterful, sustainable, vibrant and successful ‘urban village’ environment for residents, students, businesses, community groups and visitors.
