A&F Forecourts has submitted plans to build two Greggs drive-thru restaurants at Harworth’s 4 million square foot Logistics North development in Bolton. If approved, these would be the third and fourth Greggs drive-thrus in the North West.
The restaurants would occupy a combined floor space of nearly 4,700 square feet, joining a growing list of national brands already operating at Logistics North, including Aldi, Costa Coffee, Whistl, Greene King, and Lidl.
Bolton Council’s highways department has estimated that the development would lead to a 72% increase in daily net trips on Bridgewater Avenue.
The project team includes Jennings Design, Bowland Ecology, Smith & Love Planning Consultants, BWB, and Mosodi. For more information on the planning application, search for reference number 13461/22 on Bolton Council’s planning portal.
Logistics North, being developed by the Harworth Group, is the largest live commercial development in the North West. Located on the former Cutacre colliery site, the 4 million square foot scheme has 3 million square feet of completed and occupied logistics and manufacturing space. Over 5,500 people are currently employed at the site.
Future phases of the development are underway, including a 550-acre country park and an expanded regional distribution centre for Lidl.
